  Application details for dust boots. When using the 260 370 on the 6mm adjuster with housing, the boot fits tightly on the adjuster. Also pretty tightly on the housing. We don’t generally clamp this set up. However, the 960 550 seems to weather better, so that application is our general preference, using clamps. Now, for the 8mm adjuster, the 960 550 holds onto the adjuster very well. (a clamp might be useful, but we don't currently stock for that) It does not hold that well on the cable housing, so, a clamp there would be effective. For longer life on the smaller boot, silicone dielectric compound (Dow 4) seems effective.
