"Most non - certified 912 UL & 912 ULS engines were not delivered with fuel pump part # 996 596 installed. Fuel pump part # 996 596 can be easily recognized by the factory crimped on flexible fuel lines and fire sleeving. Fuel pump part # 996 596 is used in installations where steel fuel lines are used to feed the carburetors from a centrally mounted fuel distribution block. Most 912 UL and 912 ULS engines use customer supplied flexible fuel lines to connect to the fuel pump. Engines with this style of fuel pump installation are not affected. Please consult SB-912-031 & SB912-031UL and if you are unsure as to which type of fuel pump is installed on your engine please contact your aircraft manufacturer." |
