HAC Plumbing April 2004
Kits are in stock.
![]()
An alternate way to plumb the HAC has been adopted in April of 2004.
- Formerly, HAC lines plumbed into the carburetor vents via a Tee. In the event of deterioration of the original vent lines, the technician had to decide whether or not to replace vent lines. Not being part of the kit, this could cause some inconvenience or prolong the installation process.
- Pictured above, please note vent lines are now entirely replaced and the tees are eliminated.
- Double grip nylon clamps are supplied for the vent connections at the carburetor and for the ?all thread? nipple that is used for venturi pressure source.
- The vent connections between the two carburetors are joined.
- The ambient source to the HAC connects to a dual oval airfilter on dual carb installations or the single filter on single carb installations via the 3/16? nylon coupling.
- Please Note: If using individual filters on a dual carb installation a balance tube between the filters is required, which tee?s to the HAC chamber ambient port. Extra parts required are two 90 degree 3/16? elbows and one Tee. These are supplied upon request with kits.
- At this time, mounting for the HAC chamber is not provided because the unique requirements of many installations could compromise safety if a ?universal? mount is not compatible with existing components. Keep in mind; the chamber should be isolated from heat and vibration. For example, hard mounting directly to the engine block would be a poor choice.
