Antique Hiperlight SNS8 flown by it's original
owner until just a couple years ago. He has since passed on to bluer horizons.
The plane has been carefully stored since that time. One of the best flying
ultralights a person could ever ask for, but if you are familiar with the
Hiperlight, you already know that. If you are not, look around the web
a little, and you will be hard pressed to find a negative word about this
great design. It is light and responsive, but not the least bit unstable.
It is off the ground nearly as fast as you can open the throttle, and climbs
out like it's on an elevator. It's overall cleanliness gives it a glide
ratio uncharacteristic of your average ultralight. That translates to low
power settings for cruise, quiet operation, and really low fuel burn. The
spacious cockpit can fit most any size pilot. The original 377 Rotax starts
easily, usually with one pull of the rope from inside the cabin. The engine
is original, and has undergone a complete teardown inspection this spring.
All parts were found within service limit, new seals and gaskets were installed
at assembly. Everything about a Hiperlight screams quality, and the overall
condition is amazing, for being original, and twenty-six years old!
For anyone looking for a 4 stroke Ultralight, this would be an excellent
candidate for the little JCV 360 35 hp Verner.

Here is a Rotax 532 engine we took in trade for an HKS 700-e. It was originally installed on a Kitfox Model II Amateur Built Airplane. It is pretty much just as received. We did go over the top end to assure there are no surprises there, then set it up on this test bed for a brief run. It is 521CC 65HP at 6,500 rpm. Rotary Valve 2 stroke, with Bosch Breaker Ignition, Rotax Electric Start, 2.58 to 1 Rotax gear box. We can also change this over to 2.0 to 1, or 2.238 to 1 for use with shorter props. The exhaust system pictured is our test stand exhaust. The original Rotax Kitfox exhaust will go with the engine when sold. No trades. As Is. WAE 342 Engine Sr No.: 00346 According to the specification paperwork with the engine, the engine produces 25 bhp with a maximum rated speed of 7000 rev/min, at only 18.5 lbs weight!!!! Idle speed is 3000 rev/min. The fuel consumption is 5.6 litres/hour at 5250 rev/min. The engine comes with two types of carbs, electric starter, and what appears to be a prop hub. There is no exhaust system. The engine is new. It was placed on an engine stand for a test run and diagnostics, and then placed back in its box. I am selling this engine for a friend.
