Throttle and Choke Cables: HKS Cables Available
from HKS are cables which incorporate all the necessary ends at the carb
side then route to a high quality splitter where they join a single
cable. That single cable exits it's housing as raw cable for the throttle.
The builder / installer must determine an appropriate method of attachment
at the throttle lever in the cockpit. In the case of the choke, the HKS
cable comes with a Cam Over actuator for Panel mount. These are currently
priced at $110.25 each. $220.50 to do one engine.
Green Sky Adventures, Inc. Cables We have been making
and selling cables for a number of years. We use a high quality nylon lined
cable housing designed for minimal friction. Ninety degree swivel ends
and custom solder fittings are used at the carburetor ends. Two short lengths of cable come together at a junction block where a single
length of cable extents to a customer supplied actuator. Our ninety degree
fittings incorporate adjusters where they join the cable rather than at
the carburetor. This makes critical fine adjustments much easier. Beginning in 2008, our junction block incorporates an additional integral adjuster, and mounting tab, to secure the assembly to the engine. As of
Jan 08, the total length assembly is priced at only $89.25. We have a choke

Exhaust Systems and components: Undoubtedly,
the best bet are any of the stock HKS systems.
They are constructed with the same surgical quality as the 700-E engine
and they are QUIET! If it is impractical to contain any of the stock systems
within a particular installation custom systems are an alternative. The
basic rules for the HKS 700 E: Run two into one, rather than individual
stacks or mufflers; Avoid extreme tailpipe length or restrictive exits.
Stainless Steel vs Mild Steel is much a matter of preference. We like mile
steel, especially for prototyping. Ceramic coating the finished product
enhances appearance, protects from corrosion, and insulates heat. Green
Sky has welded seam 1 1/4" U-bends and other components available upon
request. Prices on factory systems are in the mid $500 range. Flanges and
basic components to build a system from scratch will run about $100. In
the prototyping of our Kitfox installation, below, we approached the project
with a thought of producing a system that compliments part, or all of a
